It may be smaller but the design is so effective that it has no issues taming cartridges up to the 300 ultra mag etc. It is 1.00" in diameter. Gunsmith installation recommended. Requires opening of bore. Lb can be turned down to 0.850" (no less than 0.900" is recommended for magnum calibers for performance reasons). A minimum muzzle diameter of 750" for the lb. Pound for pound this muzzle brake will not be out performed by anything even remotely close to its size. Instead of performing like a conventional brake and allowing the gas to go to the area of least resistance this brake performs more like a silencer and forces the gas out. The fb is machined from 416 stainless steel. It is 1.125" in diameter. Gunsmith installation recommended. Requires opening of bore. A minimum muzzle diameter of .850" is recommended for the fb.
